FORMAT+ features ReCulture mentors to talk about SHIFT

In an episode of FORMAT+, created as part of the PDP Conference, two associates from the ReCulture project – Adela Zejnilović, the local mentor of the Montenegrin Artistic Colony of Danilovgrad and Constantin Demner, the EU mentor from Vienna – talk about SHIFT from their perspective.

SHIFT, the theme of PDP Conference 2021, is intended to encourage the rationalisation of change, turnover, evolution, development, and motion. SHIFT encourages widening our inner freedom, so that we are not bound to be where we had previously been, nor by the direction we believe we’re intended to head in, but instead to acknowledge the fluid nature of transformation. We invite you to rationalise the changes that occur not only around us, but within us, and to take a leap in initiating the changes that may contribute to painting a somewhat different portrait of society – one that is more responsible, conscious, and compassionate.

INK Fest, the organisation behind the PDP Conference, has been a part of the project ReCulture: Re-branding of Cultural Institutions in Western Balkans since January 2021. The motivation behind the project, co-funded by the European Union, is to encourage the modernisation of Western Balkans cultural institutions through the redesign of visual identities and the introduction of contemporary tools in their communication practices. Eight young, prospective Western Balkan designers will create the new visual identities of four Western Balkan institutions, guided by local mentors and EU mentors.
